To raise any concerns
For effective resolution of parent concerns, it is important to speak initially to the teacher who has the responsibility and knowledge of the area of concern.
Children
- If you have a concern regarding your child/children you should see the class teacher first. An appointment may be made using the form provided on the website or available at the school office. You may choose to bring someone to support you. The class teacher may also request a support person.
- If you are still dissatisfied with the outcome, approach the Assistant Principal or Deputy Principal. If you are still dissatisfied with the outcome, approach the Principal.
- If you are still dissatisfied with the outcome, you must follow the Complaints Handling Policy. This is a document from the Department of Education and Communities and may be obtained from the Principal.
Parents
- If you have a concern or issue regarding a school policy or procedure, approach the teacher co-ordinating that area. You may choose to bring someone to support you. The staff member may also request a support person.
- If you are dissatisfied you must follow the Department's Complaints Handling Policy.
- Anonymous concerns or complaints breach both the Department of Education and Communities and the School's policies, so cannot be accepted.
An appointment may be made using the request teacher meeting form (pdf 9 KB).
